Creating prints

Overall I found creating my prints for my end paper quite simple, the only part that I struggled with what ensuring that the paint was only rolled onto my print and not the cut out section of the lino. When pressing and rolling the Lino onto the paper to create the print I found that it smudged and would quite easily become messy because I didn’t cut the lino deep enough. However because the main theme of my design manifesto was abstract and expression it could be interpreted as being a part of the theme. With the time given, I was able to create 3 separate prints using the paint. One in red, one with in black and lastly one in both red and green. I wanted to experiment with different colours  and create different patterns to match. If I had more time I would’ve experimented with more colours and tried to get a neater finish.
