Writing up my book was the most difficult part of creating the book. This is because when I was writing the book out on my laptop I had to figure out what information was essential to include and what information I could leave out. When I finished writing out my book, I found that because of the research I had done there was too much writing and it wouldn’t fit onto the the pages that I wanted them to be placed on. So I had to cut down the amount of words I used on each page and only choose what I felt was essential for each specific page.
Overall this process was the longest because I didn’t want it to be rushed. I had to try and word the book in a way where it was still important research but becomes personal. I didn’t just want to include facts but keep the mood light by adding some humour, or trying to calm them down and help them with the way I present the information. I also had to keep the different illustration in mind and make sure that the writing on each page matched the illustration.
To help write my book I used the book layout I made in my sketchbook to be my rough outline of what to write and I used the research that I previously did into meditation to write the information on each page. I found myself not sticking to the exact layout in my sketchbook because when I was writing I found that some pieces of text would be better further down the book or some texts that I felt should be at the end of the book to begin were then moved to the front. I also changed the pages around as well and didn’t keep them in the same position.
