Colour scheme / finishing storyboard (FMP)

It took a while to finish the story board because I wanted to add as much detail as I possibly could, including the colour scheme and also highlighting the movement that would take place within the moving image. This was important because it would make it easier for me to later go back and use this to create my moving image.

I chose to create a very detailed storyboard because I wanted to be as ambitious as I possibly could be. I knew that there was a great possibility that I wouldn’t be able to produce an exact replica but however having it there would make it easier. This is because even if it doesn’t come out exactly the same, I could still pick out different elements within the storyboard to incorporate into my moving image. Its also easier to draw the images out and digitally drawing it isn’t a problem. I think the problem will be trying to get the moving image to move in the exact motion that I would like it to. I chose to extend my moving image from six images to nine. This is because I want it to be quite long and to contain so much movement and colour that you get lost in the different shapes. As previously stated, I used the responses I got from my survey to choose the different shapes and colours.

I also looked back at Anthony Francisco’s work. Originally his work reflected what I would like my moving image to look like. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to create a similar style because I didn’t manage my time effectively. However I still made sure to take elements from his work that I was drawn to. For example, I looked at his colour and the energy he brought to his work with his different shapes and movement. I was also fascinated by the way he would transition from one image to the other so smoothly and so wanted my transitions to be quite smooth as well.
