I had the idea to create a survey, but I wanted to be sure that I was asking the right questions and not wasting my time with questions that didn’t need to be answered. To help me with this I went online and looked at a variety of different questions surrounding the topic of meditation. This was helpful because it gave me an idea of some of the most common asked questions and lead to me get an idea of what types of meditation students found beneficial for them. If I had more time, I think I would’ve asked more questions and also looked at surveys to do with mental health. This way I could also include this into my survey and get different responses when it comes to mental health. By looking at some questions online, I was able to come up with 8 different questions that I would later ask the majority of the class to answer in regards to meditating. On this day I also got the chance to speak to Angie which was helpful. She made me realise that in order for my research to become more effective I should ask myself questions before I start my research so that I know what I’m looking for and where exactly I should look. She also gave me some advice on going to student services to try to get some statistics on mental health and a few exhibitions about mental health that I could also attend. I was also given a clear guideline on how to improve my blog. Once I had my discussion with Angie I was able to approach my work from a different angle and also improve the information I had already uploaded onto my blog.
