To begin writing up the questions for my survey, I looked online at a few different questions surrounding the topic of meditation. This gave me a brief idea of what to ask. I wanted to keep it quite simple and give people the chance to answer the questions however they wanted to. I also decided to leave a space for their own drawings. This was important because this would later help to shape the shapes and colours created in my moving image. It was also important for me to look at a number of different questions online to help influence the questions I would ask but also to look at the questions that are most frequently asked surrounding meditating. Through doing this I was able to come up with my final 9 questions. I wrote the questions in a separate book to my work because I wanted to be able to refer back to the answers to my survey easily and give people enough space to draw and write as much as they wanted to. I also watched the artist Anthony Francisco’s video called Psychedelic Adventure. This was effective because I gained a lot of inspiration from this video. Including the inspiration from the colours to the way he shifts his shapes from one scene to another. I like how swiftly he does it because it doesn’t look like he’s cutting each scene but it all just flows and comes together. This would later help me in the process of creating my moving image and also the small illustrations for my book. It also gave me an idea of how I want my moving image to flow.
