Logo Ideas – Creating presentation

Initially we sketched out multiple logos into  our sketchbooks and then as a group decided which one looked best. Sketching out the logos as a draft was helpful as we were able to be expressive with the decisions and designs we created. Also getting opinions across to each other about why we liked different designs was helpful with our communication skills and it was a nice way to bounce off of each others ideas.

Once we had a final logo we wanted to go with, using Indesign I began to put the logo together. I wanted to experiment with different types of font as through the research process, I found that the font is just as important as the logo itself. Through doing this I learnt that its important not to just put down one idea that you have but to experiment with different materials, layout and fonts. Again as a group, we sat and discussed the different fonts that we preferred until we came to a conclusion.Library of things logo

I also learnt that it is important not to limit your palette to one colour when you’re experimenting. Looking at the different colours and physically looking at them on a paper next to one another helped me to visualise what would look best for out logo.Screen Shot 2019-02-21 at 12.44.13Screen Shot 2019-02-21 at 12.38.21If I could go back and change anything, I think I would look at different colours to present the logo in. Although the green is good and represents recycling, I think we could’ve looked deeper into different shades and complimentary colours.
