To begin the group project, we started looking at research into the Library Of Things. We wanted to look at what it stands for and try to come to a conclusion of the sort of audience it would already attract. Once we have the information about the target audience and what the business stands for, we could then continue to sketch of rough images of different logos catered to the audience. Research with any project is important because it gives you an idea of where to start and can improve the quality of your work. I found that by gathering the research as a collective we were able to have a much stronger outcome and prepare for this brief better.
I found working with a group much better than working alone as we were able to divide the work equally and get things done quicker. Also receiving feedback from them on what they thought looked best was also interesting and helpful.

To begin, we researched into different brands and their logos, specifically targeting environmental brands that had a positive reaction from the public. Looking into this we could see that many of the brand logos were quite simple, containing one letter or a small and simple symbol on the side. From research I found that looking into different fonts was also as important as the logo. By sketching out different brands we ever then able to compare the logos to our one and judge whether or not it looked professional or not. I think this was a good decision because having a variety of options to gain inspiration from is always a good idea.

These pictures above were also a few logos that we gained inspiration from when creating our own logo. If I could have done anything differently, I think I would’ve looked into different logos outside of the environmentally friendly logos, just to have multiple options and also to be able to experiment with a variety of logos
