Before initially creating my book cover, I did some research to help with the process. I looked at Artist such as Helen Yentas, Chip Kidd and Paul Sahre. This research showed me the different types of book covers I could create and what would be more effective for me. Having a few options helped broaden the choice of what my book cover would look like. I specifically liked Helen Yentas’ creative use of cassette tape. I like how the blurb correlates with the cover of the book and made me ensure that both the front cover and the back of the book have a similar colour and style. However I didn’t have enough time to create a dust cover as detailed as this but I used the chaotic theme by creating spirals all over the dust cover.
