Using Nearpod, I learnt a variety of different skills on taking photos. Looking at the light, composition and colour. The different types of things that they mentioned in some of the videos was the lighting change. How haze would be in the air to create a romantic atmosphere, or a soft box would be used for soft light, and the use of grid to create shadows on your face etc. I found this useful as I appreciated the effort of photography more and realised that theres much more to making a photo look good then just finding a different angle to take it from. Instead capturing different lightings and view points can improve the composition of a photograph.
REAL WORLD EXAMPLE – This picture was taken at the V&A. I chose to look at this because of the contrast of colour between warm and cold. Also because of the different shapes included which create a symmetrical look. This makes the image very pleasing to the eye because of the symmetry.
TV SHOW EXAMPLE – I like that the subject is made clear and is the main focus and also how the background is out of focus in contrast to the subject. The dull colours for the background contrast with the deep red on the figure and it fits the theme well, creating a very haunting image
MOVIE EXAMPLE – I was drawn to this image because of the colour. The visuals in this movie are breathtaking and this picture reflects the amount of detail that goes into the colour in the movie. There are different shades of blues with a lot of detail for the fish below. Also the photo is focused on the characters and shows although its a beautiful scene, they really are stranded in the middle of nowhere.

GAME EXAMPLE – I like the composition of this image. How its focused on the character but theres also a great amount of detail in the background, focusing on the detail of different shapes and angles and also it looks really realistic with the colours that are used.
